Role Overview

Sustina is seeking an experienced Cost Manager to support a major pharmaceutical client in the delivery of large-scale EPCm projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for cost estimation, budget control, and financial reporting across complex capital projects exceeding CHF 250 million.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage project cost estimates and control budgets.
• Establish and manage project interfaces and protocols.
• Provide accurate and timely cost reports to stakeholders.
• Ensure contractors comply with project control requirements.
• Maintain comprehensive cost reporting (e.g., budgets, commitments, forecasts).
• Support project leadership in resource management and forecasting.
• Assist with project change, risk, and opportunity management.
• Oversee contingency drawdown and project close-out activities.
• Previous experience in pharmaceutical (or similar sectors such as Oil and Gas may be considered)

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Science, Quantity Surveying, or equivalent experience.
• Fluent in English (C1 level); business-level German (minimum B2) is advantageous.
• At least 10 years’ experience as a Cost Manager on large-scale EPCm projects.
• Previous client-side experience within pharmaceutical companies is preferred.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret and communicate cost data effectively.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; knowledge of SAP, SAP Ariba, and Oracle Primavera Unifier is desirable.
• Experience working in global environments and cross-functional teams.
• Excellent prioritisation and organisational skills.
